The Burbank Tigers edged the Dublin Pubcrawlers in 12 innings at the ballpark
by the score of 3 to 2.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Burbank won the
hard fought contest in the 12th inning. Brian Roberts drew a walk. Two outs
later Jim Thome came to the plate and smacked a single. A balk was called.
Jhonny Peralta followed and he was walked intentionally to load the bases.
B.J. Ryan then bounced one in the dirt for a wild pitch. Eric Hinske kept
the rally going and drew a walk to load the bases. Although they lost,
Dublin did out-hit Burbank 10 to 7.
Ryan Madson(3-4) went 5 innings allowing no runs for the win. Ryan(1-4) was
the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 2 innings giving up 1 hit and 4
walks.
